Clovel is a family-owned, small Western Sydney provider that offers a genuine “home away from home” environment. We keep group sizes small, so every child is known, nurtured and celebrated. Our programs are child focused, play-based and holistic, balancing academic foundations with social-emotional development.
Clovel was founded by Lyn Connolly over 45 years ago and has grown into a small group of centres across Western Sydney. Today, our long-term leadership team continues the same family values, warmth, respect and a deep commitment to children and their families.
We welcome babies, toddlers and preschoolers (generally 6 weeks to 6 years). You’ll find Clovel Centres at Greystanes, Ryde, Merrylands, Granville, Blacktown, South Penrith & Liverpool. Please use the enquiry form to connect with your nearest centre to confirm availability and organise a Centre tour.
Your child’s safety, wellbeing, and happiness are our highest priority. We want each family to feel completely confident in the protections we have in place and to know that safety at our centre is not just a policy, it is a culture we actively maintain every day.

The Clovel Childcare and Early Learning Program is a holistic, child focussed play-based educational framework designed to nurture every child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Learning is viewed as a journey enriched through hands-on experiences, intentional teaching, and strong relationships between educators, children, families, and the wider community. The program is thoughtfully structured to reflect children’s interests, cultural backgrounds, and individual developmental needs including a Baby Program, Preschool Program, and specialist experiences in Literacy, Numeracy & Maths, Science & Technology, Performing Arts and Physical Activity. Each is designed to spark curiosity and confidence.
We believe that when children feel loved, safe and that they belong, learning flourishes. We partner with families to provide consistent routines and rich, play-based learning guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. At Clovel Childcare and Early Learning Centres, our philosophy is built upon the belief that every child is unique, capable, and full of potential. We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children feel a deep sense of belonging, being, and becoming. Our aim is to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through meaningful, play-based experiences.
Yes. However, one aspect of our preschool program that makes Clovel unique is that we do not wait until children turn 4 years old to begin their preschool program – we begin our preschool programs with our babies from six weeks of age with our brain linkages program. From there we continue our preschool program which builds on the foundation children need for a confident transition to kindergarten. These foundations include early literacy and numeracy, problem-solving, self-help skills, social skills, confidence, resilience and positive relationships.
At Clovel we follow the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which is Australia’s national framework for early childhood education and care. It guides educators in providing high-quality learning experiences for children from birth to five years of age, and through the transition to school. The EYLF forms part of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and is designed to ensure that every child experiences engaging learning opportunities that build strong foundations for future success.
At Clovel, we recognise that each child is unique, with their own interests, abilities, learning styles, and pace of development. Our educational approach is designed to support individual learning journeys, ensuring every child has opportunities to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Including individual plans and goals for each child.
Clovel’s full fees range from $104.00 to $162.00 per day, before Child Care Subsidy (CCS) fee contributions. Thus different gap fees apply dependent on your child’s age, days of attendance, location and CCS payment. Contact us for further fee information.
Yes. Our menus focus on fresh, varied, nutritious food, intentionally planned to support healthy growth and adventurous eating. Meals at our Clovel centres are guided by the NSW Munch and Move Program and meet all the daily nutritional requirements for young children as set out by the NSW Department of Health. Our menu also takes into consideration various cultural and health requirements of individual children and families.
Absolutely. We work closely with families to adapt menus for allergies, intolerances and cultural requirements. Educators are trained in safe food practices, and we follow medical action plans provided by individual families.
Health and hygiene are always front of mind in our Clovel centres. We have policies covering various aspects of health and hygiene for children, including and importantly, a robust cross infection policy and a dedication to following individual children’s medical programs.
While Clovel centres have rigorous health and safety policies and procedures that are also in line with NSW and the Commonwealth Governments requirements, it is also unfortunate and impossible to have children engage in a comprehensive age and needs appropriate early childhood education program without expecting that children do sometimes have accidents. However, parents be assured that Clovel educators are there to comfort your child and provide any first aid that may be necessary. You will receive a phone call during the day and a written report on pick up. Supervision plan?
Your child’s health and safety are paramount in our thinking. We are always on the front foot with our Health and Safety Policies and Procedures. We have smaller centres that ensure that educators can engage with the children, our staff complete ongoing training in Child safety standards as well as workplace health and safety training for injury management, all staff and visitors to the centre must hold a valid working with children check, we follow safe sleep practices, the staff and children practice emergency drills and lockdowns, Active engagement and supervision. All our Educators are familiar with the Clovel supervision plans to ensure that the children are always within sight, sound and reach.
All Clovel educators are trained in First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis and CPR Training.
We keep you connected with regular updates, photos and learning stories through our family communications app, as well as day-to-day conversations with educators. We also have parent-teacher interviews throughout the year, where your child’s educator will sit and discuss their development and goals.
We see families as partners. You’re welcome to visit, share your child’s interests, participate in program activities, volunteer some time to assist in the centre, and join special events. Together, we set goals and celebrate milestones.
At Clovel we follow Kidsafe Safe Sleep Policy. We also seek input from families upon enrolment re their child’s sleep habits.
In order for each baby to have the best experience possible at Clovel our educators will discuss your baby’s individual routine on enrolment. This ensures we can meet your child’s needs and adapt to any changes in your preferences as they develop.
Clovel educators will work with parents to ensure toilet training is a satisfying experience for their child and to ensure that the routine set by the parent is followed at the centre as well as at home for the betterment of the child.
The following is from the ACECQA website:
At Clovel, we meet or exceed NSW requirements. Clovel staff are never left alone with children, and our practice includes supernumerary educators.
All educators in early childhood education services must, according to legislation, hold either Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, Diploma in Early Childhood Education or an Early Childhood Degree, or actively working towards one of these qualifications.
Yes. Clovel is approved for the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Our team can guide you through the process with Services Australia. Further, NSW Government Start Strong Gap Fee Relief is also available at Clovel.
We understand that families sometimes request alternative payment arrangements or special deals. However, under Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS) legislation, no early childhood education and care service (including Family Day Care and Outside School Care) can offer discounts, free days, or special deals outside of the approved fee structure. All fee arrangements must comply with CCS regulations to ensure your entitlements are correctly processed, and your child’s enrolment remains fully compliant.
The fee that is published is the Clovel full fee. However, the Federal Government pays CCS for eligible families, and this amount is then deducted from the full fee, creating a gap fee. Further, the NSW Government pays Start Strong Fee Relief (for 3 & 4 year olds) for families, and this amount is then deducted from the gap fee, making the actual payment by families much less than the published fee. Please contact Kristy on 02 9649 5544 if you would like your individual fee calculated and to organise a Centre tour.
Your fee ensures your child has everything they need to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive, engaging, and enriching environment.
This includes nappies, wipes, meals, bedding, incursions, hats, our high-quality educational program and individual learning portfolio and much more.
All Centres hours are 7 am to 6 pm except for Ryde, which caters for hospital staff and is open 6.30 am – 6pm.
Submit the enquiry form, and we’ll be in touch promptly or call us on 02 9649 5544 or 1800 204 725 to discuss availability, answer questions and arrange a tour for you and your child. This is the best way to support a smooth start for your child, including an orientation to meet our educators and spend some time playing with and enjoying activities with some of our other children.
A bag containing a spare change of clothes and any comfort items your child loves. We’ll let you know if anything additional is needed, and we’ll explain everything in detail during your orientation.
At Clovel, we want to ensure affordability for families, and as such, we do not charge a bond. We have a non-refundable $50 enrolment fee which will secure your child’s future place and is encouraged to be paid as soon as you decide on Clovel for your child’s future.
We take all feedback and complaints seriously. If you have any questions or worry about your child, please speak with the Nominated Supervisor at the centre as your first point of contact. If your concern requires further support, you are always welcome to speak with our Educational Leader, Theresa, who is committed to listening to families and assisting in every way she can.
