At Clovel, as part of our Munch and Move program we embed healthy eating into our preschool program through a variety of activities, one of these activities are having our own vegetable and fruit gardens, then using these products for healthy meal preparation.
For lunch today, the children picked some fresh spinach from the garden and used it to make spinach and ricotta puffs.
Each of our Clovel centres have their own veggie patch, and in the veggie patch the children sow and grow their own vegetables. This shows the children how we can connect further to the world, and also gives the children an insight to where our fruits and vegetables come from.
We educate our children on the difference between always foods and sometimes foods to ensure they can make well-informed dietary decisions setting them up to live a healthy, well-balanced adult life.
We at Clovel Childcare and Early Learning Centre, provide a very nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. For any information about our Educational Programs, give us a call at 02 9199 0294 or fill in this contact us form
